Tableware is rich in communicative powers. These collections use the expressive potential of tableware to create objects that are not only functional, but also appeal on an emotional level. Using form and texture I invite the user to engage in a conversation with the work, through the sense of touch.

Within my work I reference ceramic traditions which often provoke curiosity. Narratives can be formed through a lifetime of use; an object such as a teacup can become an old friend. The consumer's experience when using my tableware is of particular importance to me.
